Rachel Garner from The Right Step Hill Country & Promises Austin will present a neurosequential approach to treatment, along with interventions to better support individuals in early recovery from addiction, alcoholism, and trauma.

Rachel Garner, LCSW-S

Group CEO | The Right Step Hill Country & Promises Austin

Rachel Garner, LCSW-S, is the Group CEO for The Right Step Hill Country & Promises Austin. Mrs. Garner specializes in dual diagnosis treatment as well as child and family treatment. Licensed as a clinical social worker, she received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Hawaii and has been working in the field of substance use disorders for 12 years. Rachel travels around the country as a certified trainer for Celebrating Families!, an evidenced based practice curriculum for families impacted by substance use disorders. She has also worked as a clinician in direct practice, engaged in program development, grant-writing and management and program operations. Rachel was born and raised in Hawaii and received her undergraduate degree from Southern Oregon University. Before moving to Austin, she resided in Santa Cruz, CA, working in the non-profit sector. Mrs. Garner has been in Austin for 4 years and has been with Promises Behavioral Health for 4 of those years.
