Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they are able to perform every task in the job description. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may come from a less traditional background. NAMI Central Texas will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications listed in our job descriptions. If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and skill set for the role.

Board Member - Accepting volunteers

NAMI Central Texas is currently accepting volunteer interest forms for three to five members of the board. The Board of Directors completed an assessment and is prioritizing volunteers with experience in the following key areas that would benefit the organization: DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) experience, fundraising and development, financial management, and connections to the tech industry. We are not limiting volunteers to these areas, so we welcome volunteers with other experiences. For questions or clarification, please email [email protected].
