Troubling Trends: Suicide Trends and Solutions
The suicide rate increased a troubling 33% from 1999 through 2017 with suicide continuing to be the second leading cause of death for 10-24 years old. It is estimated that for every death by suicide, there are 25 suicide attempts made across our county with more than 1.4 million suicide attempts in 2017.
