NAMI Central Texas will be closed October 4-8 as our staff and volunteers take a much-needed (and greatly earned!) break to rest and recuperate. This week of rest is just one way we are working to ensure our staff and volunteers have everything they need to support their mental health.
If you are in crisis, please visit our Crisis Resources page for help, or call the 24/7 Crisis Helpline at 512-472-HELP (4357).
Why do insurance companies still feel free to deny medically necessary treatments for mental health conditions, even while claiming to cover them? Why do governments still hesitate to enforce laws for mental health parity? And why does our culture both endorse and ignore the realities of mental health? Dr. Morehead will discuss our cultural ambivalence about mental health and straightforward ways of confronting it with science and sympathy. Register
With so many ways to volunteer with NAMI Central Texas, finding the right fit can be a challenge! We've designed our Volunteer Info Sessions to help you figure out the best way for you to volunteer. Register Here
