On the Job with Vocational Rehabilitation

Texas Workforce Solutions-Vocational Rehabilitation Services supports people with disabilities to prepare for, obtain and advance in meaningful employment by providing of range of services based on an individual’s employment goals. Counselors work closely with job seekers to determine an employment goal and then identify and arrange for the high-quality services that lead to successful employment. Cassandra Moya, M.S. CRC
Vocational Rehabilitation Manager | Texas Workforce Commission
Cassandra Moya is the Vocational Rehabilitation Manager for Capital Area South Management Unit. She has a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, a Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitative Services with a concentration in Deafness, and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Ms. Moya has worked for Vocational Rehabilitation Services for 10 years. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Rural Capital Area Workforce Board.
Jonas E. Schwartz, M.S.
Program Manager | Texas Workforce Commission
Jonas is a Program Manager in the for the Vocational Rehabilitation Division at the Texas Workforce Commission. Jonas has worked for the past twenty-five years on public policy issues that impact people with disabilities in Texas. During that time he has worked in both the nonprofit and state government arena. Jonas has worked on a variety of public policy issues which include employment, housing, transportation and ensuring that Medicaid Long Term Services and Supports are available to people who need them.
Jonas has a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services and Sociology from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas and a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
