Finding Balance: Regulating Emotions with DBT
August 27, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Building mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal conflict-resolution skills can help people cope with sudden, intense surges of emotion and help individuals and families maintain positive relationships and safety. Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a highly effective therapeutic model that helps people manage intense emotions and behaviors that interfere with quality of life. Join NAMI Central Texas and Penny Kruger, LCSW-Supervisor and Director at Austin DBT Associates, as we learn about DBT, how it works, who might benefit, and how to "shop" for a provider.
